My favorite part about this scene is that Stiles is trying to be calm, hold it together. He knows he really is okay. Scott must’ve told him about how he saw Gerard chop someone in half like it was no big deal. Stiles counts himself lucky to have walked away only with a few scrapes and bruises and all body parts intact.
But the moment his dad pulls him into the hug, you can tell Stiles drops the shields and begins to cry. No matter how sensible, weathered, or brave you are, there are few things that can make one feel safer than the strong embrace of a loving parent.
